How To Angle Aluminum Fence Panels
The most common way to make a 90 degree angle is to use a corner post. Almost all aluminum fence posts have pre cut holes for fence panels to slot inside. A line post will only allow a 1 or 2 degree angle from a standard fence panel and post. You can file down the pre cut post hole to make a slight angle. To be on the safe side, you can use angle brackets.
Sometimes you will need to angle aluminum fence panels other than 90 degrees. Below are several installation options for an angle other than 90 degrees on a fence run. All of these methods involve using posts and angle brackets. Angle brackets for each brand will show up in related items below a fence panel.
Angles Using an End Post
The most used method to angle fence panels is with an end post and angle brackets. First, install an end post at the end of your fence run. Then attach one angle bracket per horizontal rail on the blank side of the end post. You can then angle the fence panel as much as needed. Angle brackets come with self tapping screws to secure the bracket to the end post. The two examples below show a bird’s eye view of ways to angle aluminum fence panels.

How To Curve Aluminum Fence Panels
If you need more than one angle, keep using end posts and angle brackets. For example, use this method to install a fence around a curved swimming pool. You can also use this method to curve your fence around any object in your yard.

Angles Using a Blank Post
Use a blank post and angle brackets to make extreme angles. You can attach angle brackets to any side of a blank post. This enables your fence to go around trees or other objects in your yard. Below are a few examples of ways you can angle aluminum fences using blank posts.

Angles with Blank Gate Posts
If you need to curve your aluminum fence off a gate, use blank gate posts. Standard gate posts have pre-cut holes for a fence panel to slot inside. Use a blank gate post along with angle brackets to curve your fence off of a gate. Install the angle brackets on any side of the blank gate post that won’t interfere with the gate opening or closing.
