Summit Aluminum Railing Panel 42″ x 72″
Gilpin Summit aluminum railing panel 42 inches high by 72 inches wide. Railing panels are powder coated which will prevent peeling and cracking. Summit railings come in fully assembled pre-cut panel heights and widths. The installed height of this Summit railing panel is 39 inches. This leaves 3 inches below the bottom horizontal rail and the hard surface you are mounting to. Summit 72 inch wide railing panels have 1 picket in the center that extends past the bottom rail. This picket braces the panel and a decorative spindle flange can be used to hold it in place.S ummit railing comes with a breadloaf style top rail. Breadloaf rails provide more comfort on your hands then a square or flat shaped top rail. Summit railing is made in the USA and has a limited lifetime warranty. Summit railing is the highest grade aluminum railing that the brand Gilpin manufacturers. The railing will meet most railing codes, but check your local building codes prior to installation.
The vertical spindles or pickets are attached with a stainless steel rivet, that is covered by aluminum rivet covers. Rivet covers are included with the railing panel and result in a cleaner look. The rivets allow the railing panel to rack at an angle for stairs when using angle brackets. The railing panels will remain in a straight position when using the post or wall mount brackets. Summit aluminum railing panels are commonly used on decks, patios, and balconies and for residential or commercial applications.
Summit Railing Installation
You can attach Summit railing to posts in three different ways. For a straight rail, use either the installation spindle or a wall mount bracket. The installation spindle will look like the other vertical pickets. Installation spindles have a screw hole for installing on the top and bottom of the picket. Wall brackets and angle brackets fit on the end of the horizontal rails and attach to a wall or post. They have two screw holes on each side of the bracket for added strength. Trim down the railing panel with a hacksaw or reciprocating saw if you need shorter lengths. Use a decorative spindle flange to secure the extending picket to a hard surface.
