Aluminum Fence Gates
FenceTown carries aluminum fence gates for each style and brand of aluminum fence. Gates can be found in the related items under the aluminum fence panel description on a product page. You can also see all related items by adding an aluminum fence panel to the shopping cart. Standard aluminum gates come in 36,42,48,60, and 72 inches wide. Gates have a welded frame for strength and some brands have crossbars or gussets to keep the gate from sagging. All FenceTown gates come with self-closing spring loaded hinges which make most local pool codes. Gates include a gravity latch, handle latch, or magnetic latch, depending on the brand and style of gate. Specrail gates do not come with a latch. To make most pool codes, you will want to purchase a magnetic pool latch which keeps small children from opening the gate. Gate posts have thicker walls than standard posts, and should be used for all gates, to hold the weight of a gate and the opening and closing of a gate. Gates usually ship in their own box with foam padding. Let us help you determine the correct items for your fence project by sending us a basic line drawing like the example on our Free Quote page.

Shipping Aluminum Gates
Aluminum gates ship in their own boxes and some brands include the gate hardware in the same box. Gates ship along with fence panel orders and are shrink wrapped on a pallet. Most gates generally ship via truck freight which costs more than standard ground shipping. Gates are the most important item to check for damage when your fence order arrives. If your gates are damaged during shipping, note the damage on the truck drivers paperwork, and refuse the gate so it’s on the way back to the manufacturer. Call or email us and we will get a replacement in production immediately.
NOTE: Due to freight costs, purchasing and shipping a single gate without aluminum fence can be costly. The shipping cost to ship a single gate is usually the same if not more than the gate cost. If you just need a single gate, it would be more cost effective for you to purchase the gate locally.
There are several options you can choose from to make a driveway gate. Most fence brands offer gates in 36, 48, 60, and 72 inch widths. Depending on the width of your driveway, you can purchase two gates to make a double gate. The most ordered sizes for driveway gates are 5 and 6 foot widths for a 10 or 12 foot opening between gate posts. For openings larger than 12 feet, you will need commercial or industrial grade gates. You can also use commercial or industrial grade gates to make your driveway gate stronger. Arched driveway gates with a continuous arch are an option and are referred to as Estate Gates from some brands. Depending on the fence brand, Estate gates can have a gradual arch, or a bell curve arch. Contact us for more information or to get a free quote on driveway gates.
