Most of fences sold in the US today are Residential Grade and strong enough for most home applications. There are many other situations that require much stronger fences like restaurants, businesses, garages, prisons, hotels, cemeteries, stadiums, houses on corners, and especially parking lots. Delgard Professional Grade or Aero Grade aluminum fence (also called Mid-Grade fence) is the next strongest level above Residential Grade. Industrial or Commercial aluminum fence grades are the very strongest and highest quality aluminum fence models. Delgard Aero Grade fence comes with thicker rails and stronger posts, as well as 8.4 foot widths(See the Delgard fence chart below). It should be used for high traffic or demanding home fence applications, or lower end business fencing situations. The wider 8.4 foot fence widths will also lower the number of post holes needed by 33%.
